1. Come, all you sons of God, and view
Your bleeding Savior's love to you:
Behold him sink with heavy woes,
And give his life to save his foes!

2. Here in the pure baptismal wave,
You see the emblem of his grace;
Come all who would his laws obey,
And view the place where Jesus lay.

3. When you ascend above the flood,
Then call to mind your rising Lord:
You saints, lift up your joyful eyes;
Exulting see your Savior rise.

4. You too are buried with your Lord,
Who in the water own his word;
And joyfully receive therein,
Remission of your former sin.

5. Ascending from the stream, behold
An emblem of your life restored:
Live unto him who died for you,
And all his just commandments do.
