1. When Israel in safety shall dwell,<br />
In cities without fence or wall,<br />
Thus saith the Lord God unto thee,<br />
Know's thou not, O Gog, it's by me.<br />
<br />
2. And wilt thou come up from the north,<br />
And with thee many riding horse,<br />
To take a great and mighty spoil,<br />
Of cattle, silver, gold and oil.<br />
<br />
3. Art thou not he of whom I've told,<br />
By prophets long since time of old,<br />
And as the thing is taking place,<br />
God's fury comes up in his face.<br />
<br />
4. In his fierce wrath and jealousy,<br />
A mighty shaking there shall be,<br />
So that the fowls, fishes, and beast,<br />
And man, from greatest to the least,<br />
<br />
5. Shall fear and quake when he doth come,<br />
And walls and mountains tumble down,<br />
He'll call a sword in all the land,<br />
And brother fall by brother's hand.<br />
<br />
6. With pestilence and also blood,<br />
And fire and brimstone, saith the Lord,<br />
And hail and overflowing rain,<br />
Thus will I plead with man again.<br />

7. Come, then, ye birds and rav'nous beasts,<br />
To my great sacrifice and feast,<br />
Of flesh and blood for you prepared,<br />
As in my holy word declared.<br />
<br />
8. The princes, kings, and mighty men,<br />
With bullocks too, and horses slain,<br />
A mighty host of men from far,<br />
Who've come with Gog up to this war.<br />
<br />
9. The heathen then shall know the Lord,<br />
He has proved faithful to his word,<br />
By saving Israel from their fears,<br />
And comes to reign a thousand years.</pre><br />
