1. Jehovah reigns! O glorious King!<br />
Let all the saints of God<br />
Lift up their hearts—rejoice and sing<br />
And sound his praise abroad.<br />
<br />
2. Rise from the tombs, O leave the dust,<br />
And lay your sackcloth by;<br />
For Jesus Christ, in whom we trust<br />
Arose and reigns on high.<br />
<br />
3. Then let your confidence be strong—<br />
Let men and angels know,<br />
That God the glory of our song,<br />
Is with the saints below.<br />
<br />
4. Let sinners be constrained to say,<br />
The peace and heavenly joy,<br />
These Christians feel from day to day,<br />
No trouble can destroy.<br />
