*Poet: [[James Gallacher]] (misspelled as James Gallaher)

:1. Sabbath morn-ing comes with gladness, Little hearts are filled with joy;
:Father's blessings banish sadness, Pleasure's hope here without al-loy.
:See, with smil-ing ros-y fa-ces, Boys and girls clothed in their best,
:Hast-'ning on to fill their places, At their teacher's kind re-quest.

:2. O'er the earth the sun is shin-ing, Truth shines in the Sab-bath school;
:List the Priesthood clear de-fin-ing Precepts like the golden rule.
:Let us each be un-ob-serv-ing Of the others' faults, and strive
:Good-ness to in-crease un-swerv-ing, Like the bees with-in a hive.

:3. May our Father's care be o'er us, Guardian an-gels ev-er nigh,
:Thro' life's journey go be-fore us, Lead us to the courts on high.
:Prin-ci-ples our souls in-spir-ing, That were des-tined men to save,
:On-ward pro-gress, nev-er tir-ing, In the life be-yond the grave.
Which hymnal did you copy the lyrics from? Please mention the year it was published as well, since it's good to make sure there aren't any legal issues. I know the hymn is public domain, but you never know if the newer hymnals add things that they consider copyrightable (although it's probably not a problem if they didn't do too much—but still, a public domain source is preferable; I believe I have one for these lyrics; so, I can make sure they're like those, if your source isn't public domain). Let me know. Thanks! [[User:Veramet|Veramet]] 04:45, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I have only one copy of one page out of the hymnal in a Book of Remembrance. So I would love to mention which year and all, but I don't know. It was hymn #39. I planned on uploading a photo of the page, if you can give me a few days to scan it in and all. Since my great-great-great grandfather wrote it, I'm pretty sure I have rights to put it on the internet if I want to, right?
