A ''hymn'' is a song.
Generally sung in a religious, or spiritual atmosphere, such as a church, hymns are meant to increase the spiritual feelings and awareness of a meeting.

Hymns also serve a variety of other purposes. For example, if someone cuts you off and you really want to flip them the finger and slash their tires, then feed their children to hungry cannibals, one could use the upbeat, snappy tune [[Hum your Favorite Hymn]]. When feeling down, depressed and completely bummed out by your lack of worldly posessions, simple sing [[Count your Many Blessings]] to yourself, and instantly you will feel better! Of course, there are other times when a hymn might be appropriate. If, for some reason, you happen to be caught in a violent storm, remembering the lyrics to [[Master, the Tempest is Raging]] may prove soothing. Maybe not too, but at least you will have the knowledge that you have a good memory.
